A Legacy Built on Trust
Diamond District NYC was founded in 1979 by master jeweler Solomon Katz, who arrived in New York with a single ambition: to bring the finest diamonds in the world directly to the people who would treasure them most.
From our original single-case showroom on 47th Street, we have grown into one of the district's most respected establishments — while preserving the personal, unhurried service that has defined us from the beginning.
Every diamond we sell is GIA-certified and sourced directly from cutters and polishers we have worked with for generations. Every piece of jewelry is crafted in our own workshop, two floors above the showroom floor.

Rachel joined the family business after studying jewelry design in Florence. She leads all bespoke commissions and brings a contemporary sensibility to timeless forms.
